RhinoCAM for Rhinoceros is a CNC machining plug for Rhinoceros software. This plugin is the result of the combination of Rhino’s high-end modeling skills with VisualCam software. The result is a product that facilitates CNC milling, cutting and planning operations in the Rhinoceros environment. In fact, the flexibility to do machining operations is much higher. Two distinct products are available for CAD and CAM operations, but there are two major issues: one more cost to buy a cost-effective and next-generation, separate software learning process. Two software means two distinct learning processes, which means wasting time.
When we can combine the capabilities of the two CAD and CAM environments, there is no reason to use separate products. In this case, you can do both things together by learning a single interface. One of the important benefits of integrating these two environments is accelerating the process of updating CNC codes. In fact, when you change the designed model, add or remove attributes, modify the dimensions of the model, cutting directions and CNC codes are also automatically updated.
Using this plugin, creating optimal cutting paths for different machines will be easy. This plug has separate modules for milling, punching, and cutting operations, each of which plays a major role in CNC processes. In this plug-in, the figures are correctly identified and all operations are based on the figures. When moving the cutting paths as it reaches the edges of the figure, the speed of movement in the editor decreases. All parameters are entered numerically in graphical dialogs, and an adequate description is provided.
